Things have been a little crazy the last 2 weeks for us....poor Aiden and Ryleigh have had this cough/cold thing that just doesn't seem to want to go away. Wednesday Ryleigh spiked a fever and because of her bladder condition, we had to take her to the E.R. to get checked out since the doctor couldn't see us. Fun times...thankfully she only had a double ear infection. No fun of course, but much better than a UTI/kidney infection and spending 3 days in the hospital. We were a little worried that she wouldn't be up for her birthday festivities, but she seemed to be better on Saturday and in good spirits!

We had the party at my parents house- since they have a lot more room than we do
Ryleigh wasn't too impressed with her cupcake....

she still only has her 2 bottom teeth, so she
doesn't eat too much solid food yet.

There was a lot more squishing then eating of the birthday cupcake :)

Posing for the camera while she gets cleaned off
Aiden was much more
appreciative of mommy's pumpkin spice cupcakes!

Me and my beautiful little lady!!!

Opening presents...
Ryleigh was more interested in the bags, and paper for the most part

Grandma Nance was nice enough to get
Aiden a present too- which he promptly made his very best friend Crystal open :)

Our good friends Bruce and Cherie brought their 2 week old baby to the party, and Miss
Ryleigh was
fascinated by little Bella.

She kept coming up to Uncle Bruce and trying to pet the baby. Sorry Ry-bear, don't get any ideas :)

Ryleigh got these fun baby-sized books and just loves to "read" them

Sadly the next morning
Ryleigh woke up with her eyes all red and swollen, and covered with raised red splotches all over her little body!

You can't tell so well with the flash, but her eyes were all read and puffy and the left one was almost swollen shut! The E.R. doctor had ignored us when we told him that I can't take penicillin and that
Aiden had, had a reaction to
Amoxicillin- and had just said that he was going to prescribe it anyways and we would just see. Thanks a lot, genius!!!

Poor splotchy baby!!! Thankfully with the help of lots of B
enadryl and a new
antibiotic from our regular doctor,
Ryleigh is on her way to being spot free....hopefully soon :)
