Big girl...

This month Ryleigh turned 18 months, and as Mike pointed out the other night- we no longer have a baby. It is true...she is getting so big and doing so much now, but thankfully she still is a bit of a snuggler and likes to cuddle with Mommy & Daddy sometimes!

Ryleigh is talking so much now! She is always yammering on to her toys, her brother, mommy and daddy and anyone else who is around. She also loves to talk on the phone, and whenever we are on the phone, she follows us around, reaching up and saying "hi, hi, hi..."

Some of her favorite things to say are: "Stop it!" (She says this to her brother a lot, but whenever I am changing her diaper or making her do something she doesn't want I get it too)

"Book, sit, read! ~ Mine! ~ Hug ~ Thank you ~ Chair, sit! ~ Come here, Gus! ~ Please (sounds more like "peas") ~ Cereal ~ Bubbles ~ Baby ~ Wait ~ See ya!"....and a whole lot more!

Ryleigh also loves to show you where her eyes, nose, mouth and ears are. She gets a kick out of doing this and will sit on your lap and point to each one while saying what it is, and giggling! Ryleigh also tells us to "Shhhh", complete with her little finger to her lips and if you don't listen, she gets very insistent and forceful with her shushing :)

Yes that is her brothers (clean) undies on her head and yes she did do that all by herself! Ryleigh LOVES accessories, be it hats (or underwear :) purses, shoes, jewelry and especially scarfs! She even crawled out of her crib for the first time to get some sparkly jewelry that was left on a nearby dresser top!!!

Ryleigh also loves to sit in boxes- fully accessorized of course (notice the scarf) At her 18 month well baby visit the doctor said she looked perfect and wonderful- which we already knew :)

She weighs 23 lbs. 6 oz. - which is in the 25th-50th percentile for weight

She is 32 inches tall - which is in the 50th percentile for height

And this time her head has officially gone off the charts...she has always had a big head, and since she is pretty advanced verbally and physically the doctor says they aren't worried at all, thankfully! Mike and Aiden both have pretty big heads- so it must be in the genes. We are so blessed to have this sweet, strong-willed, independent and adventurous little lady in our family and we love her to pieces!!!

She is so beautiful! I can't believe she and Charlie are no longer babies! Time goes by so quickly.
